TRIVENI'S SPORTS EVENT

Chess Tournament On January 31st, 2015

Last edited on February 5th, 2015

Results:-

Total number of participants : Registered (23), Participated (20)

Winner of the First ever Triveni Open was Amit Sathe with a perfect 5.0 score. In the final game Amit won a very closely fought battle with Nitin Kulkarni and secured a perfect score. He was the only none who won all his games. Close on the heals of Amit was the second place winner VInayak Joshi with 4.0. Vinayak was a surprise package of the tournament. He declared his intentions to play just a day before and stole the show with a sterling performance. In  the first round he was paired with Anagh and almost won the game but for a late mistake :)

Third place winners on Tie breaker with 3.5 points were Prasanna Daptardar and Sasmit Pradhan. Prasanna was one partcipant who encouraged even his own opponents. It was a great gesture on his part.

The tournament saw a lot of young kids battling it out. Watching them play was a treat to watch and some of the side conversations that took place were downright hilarious :)

In the Simul Anagh played against 12 players and won all his games. His blind game with the tournament winner Amit was something that everyone liked.
