Triveni Saarvajanik Ganeshotsav

Let's all celebrate Triveni's Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav at the Hindu Temple of Greater Cincinnati on Sunday, September 23rd, 2012. This event will be Triveni's only Ganesh Chaturthi celebration.
As always we need your help and support to make this event possible and successful.
Here is the program outline:
9:15 am - 9:45 am: Chaha & Nashta (basement)
9:30 am - 10:00 am and again from 10:40 am - 11 am - Thali sale for pooja (temple - main entrance).
10:00 am - 10:45 am: Miravnook
11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Ganesh Pooja
12:00 pm - 1:15pm: Bhajan, followed by Arati
10:00 am - 10:45 am: Miravnook
11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Ganesh Pooja
12:00 pm - 1:15pm: Bhajan, followed by Arati
1:30 pm: Prasad Jevan
Pooja:
We would like to invite you to purchase a Thali and perform the Sarvajanik Ganesh pooja. The temple offers different pooja thali options. The proceeds go to the temple.
i. Front row seating for pooja - $101/-
ii. Subsequent rows for pooja - $31/-
iii.Archana only (after pooja) - $21/
Miravnook:
Although not a requirement, we would like to encourage you all to wear traditional attire (Saree/Nauvari saree, Kurta/Dhoti etc) and add to the festive mood of the occassion. We will be welcoming Ganapati bappa with the sounds of dhol tasha, lezim, garjana, phugadi etc. Here is the format of the Miravnook.
1) Lezim group: We will have lezim leads, who will lead the lezim group and the entire miravnook. Following the lezim leads, we will have kids (8 years and older) doing lezim for the first half of the mirvnook. In the second half, adults will take over from the kids and follow lezim leads. We are not taking any sign ups so anyone and everyone is welcome to join in. Remember to do 3 things
i) Arrive on time to participate.
ii) Follow the lezim leads for simple steps
iii) Take turns and give everyone opportunity to participate.
2) Garjana: Following the lezim group will be all the little kids (under 8 years of age), their parents and all the devotees, participating in dhuns like 'Morya re bappa morya re'
3) Ganapati bappa in Palakhi.

The prasad(jevan) cannot be complete without YOUR enthusiastic participation in preparing the food. Please click HERE to signup (with name and email address) for the menu item of your choice. You will need to scroll horizontally to see the entire list. We will send out the recipes to individuals, about a week prior to the event.
Serving:
We will need 24 volunteers to help us serve food after the pooja. If you would like to volunteer to serve please click HERE to enter your name and email address.
Other Volunteer Opportunities:
We also need volunteers for various other tasks. We would like to reach out to you all, particularly MEN in helping us out with these tasks. We have given approximate time slots that we would need your help so that it will help you plan your day better.
