Theme: नाती गोती - A Relationship
Sankrant 2017 will be a celebration of नाती गोती, the fine threads of relationships that enrich our lives. We would like to invite creative individuals & groups to help choreograph & organize events that highlight आपल्या जीवनातील वेगळी-वेगळी नाती. These can be relationships between individuals (आई/वडील - मुलगा/मुलगी; आजी/आजोबा - नात/नातू; teacher-student; मित्र) or they can be relations between cultures (English songs on Hindi tunes; folk dances on modern music).
Inviting participation from our members - young & young-at-heart - for the following group events at Sankrant 2017:
New! Parent-Child Dance (13 years & up)
Kids growing up too fast? Do you miss those days of Sankrant practice and wish you could re-live them? Sign up with your tween/teen of either gender and create some new, fun memories.
New New! Kids & Adults Performance (Kids 5 years & older)
Haven’t started a family yet? Or the kids are all grown up and busy with their lives? We don’t want you to miss out on Sankrant fun! Join the kids in their performances - dance, singing, orchestra, skit.
New! New! New! बोर नहाण(3 years & below)
New this year! Bor Nahan is a ritual celebrated during Makar Sankrant for children 3 years & younger. We will celebrate बोर नहाण in the Haldi Kunku area. There will also be a Photo Booth so you can preserve these memories. Triveni will arrange for couple of "Dagine" ONLY for the photo opportunity.
Kids Dance (Kids only, 5 years & older)
The ever-popular, show-stopping, highlight of every Sankrant - group dance performance by
our amazing young dancers.
Music/Orchestra/Singing (Kids 5 years & older)
This event will showcase the amazing voices and musical abilities of Triveni’s kids & adults.If
you like to sing or play an instrument, this is the event for you! Calling kids 5 years & older and Adults of all ages!
Skit/Play (Kids 5 years & older)
Bring us your नाटक or short नाटिका - preferably one that can bring forth relationships - between
people, cultures or countries.
Kids 5 years & older and adults with theatrical abilities are encouraged to sign-up for this one!
Fashion & Talent show (Kids younger than 5 years)
Parents be creative, bring out the "young and growing talent" of your little kids in this category.
